The First Pass #11 — Bold Roles, Bold Risks, Worthy Stories
Take risks you will tell your grandkids about.
So, in issue #10 I finally landed my first gig. But as I said, I was fired within 3 days. Why? Well, it turns out I didn’t really “suck” at marketing. Nor did I do anything I would be put in the jail for.
One part of my digital marketing gig was to write beautiful social media captions for Instagram. Apparently, the person who hired me noticed I am a bit too good at it (which I know sounds ironic, considering I don’t even caption my once-in-a-year instagram posts).
So she was upfront about it. She wanted me to stop this digital marketing bs, and go full on content writing. I had a choice, either continue doing random social media posts, or actually take the bolder route, ie, learn one specific skill and start from scratch.
I chose the latter. And the rest is history (if you know a tiny bit about me, content writing for startups became a major side hustle of mine during my entire college journey, and taught me so many skills).
Hence, this issue is full of such bold kinds of opportunities (and some cool stories). If you’re the type who needs a clear path, a safety net, this may not be for you. But if you’re willing to bet on yourself? Keep reading.
Bangalore
Tech Roles
1. Founder’s Office (Engineering Intern) – SapientPriors Inc.
Internship (3–6 months) | Remote or Bangalore
AI research company building personalization infrastructure for the AI agent economy. Founded by ML veterans from Twitter (300M+ users), Kroger, Microsoft Azure, and Dropbox. Backed by South Park Commons and Nexus Venture Partners.
Tech stack: GPU training environments, ML infrastructure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure
Skills needed: Strong software engineering fundamentals, ML workflow understanding, ability to own work independently, high agency
Why you should apply:
You’ll work directly with founders who trained under Yann LeCun and built systems serving hundreds of millions of users
This is actual work—“here’s the problem, solve it”
High potential for full-time conversion if you don’t mess it up
You get to tell people you’re building infrastructure for the AI agent economy (which sounds cooler than it probably is, but still)
2. SDE Intern – ProsessedAI
Internship (3 months, can convert to full-time) | Bangalore (2 days/week in-office)
Looking for people who’ve built things.
Tech stack: MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)
Skills needed: MERN stack proficiency, side projects, ability to solve real problems, shipped products
Why you should apply:
They explicitly don’t care about your resume, only what you’ve shipped
You’ll work on real product problems, not intern busywork
Converts to full-time after 3 months if things go well
Only 2 days in office—the rest is trust-based
Email - navneet@prosessed.com (send projects/GitHub/portfolio + why you’re interested in the domain)
3. PM Intern – Karta
Internship | Bangalore (onsite only)
Building India’s most secure and intelligent AI concierge for enterprises. Used by some of India’s largest companies. Moving faster than their current team size.
Tech stack: Enterprise AI systems, product management tools
Skills needed: Product thinking, ability to ship, comfort with messy problems, independence
Why you should apply:
Real ownership over product decisions—not slide-making internships
Your work gets used by large enterprises, which is either impressive or terrifying depending on how you look at it
Fast team that builds, not just talks (a rarity in Bangalore, honestly)
Email - ashutosh@getkarta.ai

4. SDE Intern – Covlant.ai
Internship (2–6 months) | Bangalore (in-office) | ₹30,000–₹50,000/month
Hands-on role working alongside experienced engineers on real projects.

Skills needed: Ability to design, develop, and test software features; debugging; quick adaptation to new tools and technologies
Why you should apply:
Immediate start (if you can join tomorrow)
Decent stipend range with potential for extension
Direct work with experienced engineers, not just other interns
The company name sounds like a sci-fi villain, which is kind of cool

Internship | Location not specified (likely Bangalore)
Working on AI-driven ed-tech platform at ALLEN in collaboration with Bodhi Tree Systems. Building personalized learning experiences.
Tech stack: Go (primary), Python, Java, Node.js, Ruby (familiarity with at least one), Git, SQL/NoSQL databases
Skills needed: Backend programming, data structures & algorithms, API design, version control, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
Why you should apply:
ALLEN is a massive name in Indian education. We all have seen atleast one of those ALLEN reddit fight videos.

“Nice-to-haves” include open-source contributions, which means they actually look at your GitHub
6. Software Engineer Intern – Feeding India
Internship (0–1 years experience accepted) | Probably Bangalore
Building meaningful impact. Work on real production systems that actually get used. You might have seen the Feeding India contribution section when ordering food from Zomato.
Skills needed: Breaking down tough problems, building things that work, shipping code
Why you should apply:
Your code literally helps feed people—this isn’t abstract SaaS metrics
Production systems from day one means you’re not in a sandbox
0–1 years experience means they’ll consider fresh grads and current students

Why you should apply:
Founding engineering team means you’re not employee #847—you’re building the foundation

Microservices architecture experience looks great on a resume when you’re job hunting later
8. SDE Intern (Platform Engineering) – OneAssure
Full-time (on-site) | Bangalore | ₹20,000–₹25,000/month
Building the future of insurance with clean code, curiosity, and compassion. Everyone thinks like a founder.
Tech stack: Python, Big data, Kafka, Docker, Redis, Jenkins
Skills needed: Software engineering fundamentals, platform engineering concepts
Why you should apply:
Flexible hours, generous holiday policy, insurance cover
Insurance tech is boring until you realize how broken the industry is and how much money is in fixing it

9. Founder’s Office Intern – PlatinumRx
Full-time internship | HSR, Bangalore (in-office)
Health-tech startup revolutionizing how chronic patients access affordable medicines. Fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Tech stack: Not specified (Founder’s Office role)

6-day workweek is disclosed upfront, which is honest (even if it sucks)
10. Program & Operations Intern / Data Analyst Intern – Snabbit
Internship (2 months) | Bangalore
Two roles: Ops intern working with on-ground execution, or Data Analyst working with patterns and decision-making.
Tech stack: Data analysis tools, operations systems

Why you should apply:
“Best learning happens when you’re close to the action” is their actual philosophy

Data analyst path if you like patterns, ops path if you like coordinating chaos
Startup environment means you’ll touch everything, not just your job description
11. Multiple Founder’s Office Roles – Prashant Pitti
