The First Pass #13 — Founder’s Office: Just Figure It Out™
What's the founder's office role? A short explanation and a bunch of these vacancies (plus others ofc)
Lately, I’ve been seeing “Founder’s Office” roles pop up everywhere . At first glance, it sounds vague. Like… what do you actually do?
The best explanation I’ve heard came from SS, one of the founding team members at Commenda (and also their first intern). He said “Founder’s Office is anything you’d do if the founder had 48 hours in a day instead of 24.” It’s basically a bunch of side quests you gotta do so the founder can be focused on the main quest. Sometimes you accompany him/her in their main quest as well.
One day you’re building a deck for investors, the next you’re talking to customers, tweaking ad campaigns, writing some code, or cleaning up messy Excel sheets. There’s no fixed JD. Think Nattu Kaka for Gada Electronics.
So why is this role suddenly everywhere?
With AI, small teams can do a lot more. One person can ship code, run Meta ads, write content, and analyze data. Founders don’t just need specialists anymore, they need sharp generalists who can work across domains.
If you want to build your own company someday, this is one of the best seats you can get. You’re right there, watching decisions being made, mistakes happening, things getting built from scratch.
It’s chaotic. Your calendar makes no sense. Your tasks make even less sense. And this issue is filled with these roles.
(This week im already late so apply fast, these don’t stay open long)

I’ve personally worked with Arpit (founder) and he’s a great mentor and a chill guy, so this isn’t a random recommendation.
“Inside actual GTM problems that are live, unclear, and need decisions” is the real work, not made-up projects
Remote + engineering background preferred means they want technical people doing growth
Application is a 2-minute video (why you’re a good fit, why hire you, relevant project/agent/workflow) shows they value thoughtfulness
